Mariah Woodard
Our first Woman of The Week features a hard working woman with an ambitious mindset. After graduating from Strong Vincent High School in 2009, Mariah went on to attend Edinboro University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies. I had the opportunity to work with Mariah when she became an Advisor at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh back in 2015. This is where I saw her work ethic and ambitious mindset first hand. While working at the Art Institute, she decided to pursue entrepreneurship and start her own hair business (Shop Milleni). Mariah currently runs her business full time, and has built a strong clientele over the last year. Outside of her business, she has organized a small Women Empowerment event and educated a group of young women on entrepreneurship at Slippery Rock University. Mariah is another example that you can accomplish anything with hard work, ambition and God on your side!
